Can I scan Duplex?

Yes, of course: if you have a Duplex scanner, simply use the Basic settings tab: Source: ADF Duplex. If you only have a Simplex scanner, you can choose Manual Duplex and scan the batch twice, the second time with the sides reversed.
Can use one license for multiple Macs?
Yes, of course: you can share one license with all your personal Computers. If you are a for profit business, we suggest a fair one license per permanently used scan workstation / scanner combination.
My (ScanSnap) scanner is not found!
Scanners usually can only be accessed by one program at a time. For ExactScan to access the scanner make sure no otherapplication (such as the ScanSnap manager) is open and thus accessing the scanner exlusively. Disk diag 1 64. You might find some additional background takss blockign the scanenr using Apple's Activity Monitor.app.
How to revert to a previous version after an update?
If ExactScan was installed by a regular user, an update will move the previous version into the system's Trash. You can simply restore it by dragging it out of the Trash.
My activation key does not work!
You probably try to activation another product variant than the license key is for. Please make sure you download and install a matching version of ExactScan (regular, Pro, SE, lite, Enterprise..).
How to import or copy profile settings to a new computer?
Our software is using the standard Mac system preferences. You can therefore simply copy the file:
~/Library/Preferences/de.exactcode.ExactScan Pro.plist
For the regular version without 'Pro', and the old App Store version is using 'com.exactcode.*'.
For portability, our new Linux and Windows versions are using a simple ~/.exactscan*.rc text JSON file respecively.
How to convert existing files into searchable PDF?

Why does ExactScan not show my TWAIN driver in the scanner list?
Your driver might be too old, for example still be 32-bit. Simply install a compatible vendor driver, or choose another scanner directly suported by ExactScan's built-in drivers.
